Choosing a web hosting service like Dreamhost can be hard, especially when there are so many out there and all seem to be the same yet slightly different. To be honest, i’ve used a good dozen hosting providers, and Dreamhost is one of my favourites.
Firstly, the pricing is fair. You get plenty of free stuff for your money’s worth, and of course unlimited bandwidth and storage. Secondly, their user interface for webmail, wordpress installation and domain name management is AWESOME.
Very clean, very neat, very easy to find your way around. In fact, I’ll put up a video review of it as soon as I get around to it, so you guys can see for yourselves.
The other thing I like about Dreamhost that i’m surprised I haven’t seen mentioned in any other dreamhost review is that they give you free domain privacy, and their domain registration is a cheap $9.99 for .com’s, .net’s, .org’s etc.
As much as I like Justhost’s monthly pricing, they charge way more domain registration and whois privacy, around $24.95 altogether so you pay less than half of that with Dreamhost’s pricing structure.
As far as speed and reliablity go, I haven’t ever had a site go down with them. Though you may want to check user reviews at our main site Webhostinsider.com to see what others have to say.
As for speed, well this site itself is hosted on Dreamhost, so how are your load times? Certainly nothing out of the ordinary, I get great speeds accessing their servers as I’m sure you do also.
